Overheating is rare in new vehicles, but it’s not entirely impossible with skyrocketing summer temperatures in Orlando, Florida. If you’re out for a summer drive and notice that your vehicle is overheating, don’t panic. Knowing what to do if your car overheats will help you stay in control of the situation and get the issue taken care of quickly.
Turn on the heat. If you have the AC on, turn it off immediately. Roll the windows down, turn on the heat, and set the blower high. Depending on your situation, this might be enough to return engine temperature to normal and allow you to complete your drive.
Pull over in a safe place. Should the temperature continue to rise, you’ll want to pull the car over in the safest spot possible. Sit there for 15 minutes or more, giving things time to cool off. If you’re near Tropical Ford and you want to play it safe, you can get a quick tow to our service bay to get the issue addressed quickly.
Check for signs. Once the vehicle’s had at least 15 minutes to cool off (or maybe even more depending on the temperature outside), you can look for signs of what might be causing the issue. If you see coolant underneath the vehicle or smell something like maple syrup under the hood, you might have a leak.
Add coolant and water if you have it. If you have extra coolant and water handy, you can manually refill your radiator enough to get home safely. It’s imperative that you’re careful when doing this — if the vehicle is still warm, opening the radiator cap can cause burns. You may want to avoid trying this unless you have gloves or a towel that you can use to open the radiator cap enough to release pressure.
If your car overheats and you’re not sure what to do, turn to the experts at Tropical Ford in Orlando, Florida. We can help get your vehicle to us safely so that we can fix the issue and get you back on the road quickly.
The original Bronco was beloved by its dedicated fans for its athletic performance and its open-air philosophy, so many people had high expectations when Ford announced it was resurrecting the iconic nameplate for 2021. Luckily for long-time Bronco lovers, the revived 4×4 is just as adventurous as before – and even more customizable.
You’re probably familiar with the fact that the Ford Bronco has removable doors and roof panels to promote an open-air feel. However, you might not know that truly adventurous souls can basically remove any part of the Bronco’s exterior parts (including mudguards and fenders) to swap them out for something else depending on your mood. You’ll be able to adjust the appearance and functionality of your Bronco nearly as easily as you switch between G.O.A.T. modes™.
On top of allowing you to make your vehicle as unique as you are, the modular nature of the Ford Bronco gives you an affordable way to refresh your vehicle over and over again. Per the chief Bronco designer, Paul Wraith, the Bronco’s mix-and-match design philosophy “gives [owners] the opportunity to create the perfect 4×4 for their unique needs without requiring a lot of mechanical expertise or experience.”
The adventurous 2021 Ford Bronco will be available at Tropical Ford before you know it, so keep an eye on our online inventory.

If you own a small business and regularly put miles on your vehicle for business purposes — or even if you are an employee at someone else’s business and use your vehicle for regular business trips — you should be claiming those miles on your tax returns. But you must be able to prove every mile driven to the IRS, or else you’ll face potential hefty penalties.
Should you take the deduction for business mileage on your
taxes, be ready to prove your mileage in the event of an audit. The IRS accepts
proof in two forms: a daily log kept by you, as long as it has lots of
information, or a mileage app that does the admin work for you.
If you’re creating a log of your business mileage, keep a
journal in your car and immediately log each trip after the drive. You will
need to include the date, your odometer reading at the start and end of the journey,
along with the number of miles you’ve driven, and the business reason for the
trip. It is also helpful to include the starting address and the destination
If you would rather rely on your smartphone, you can download one of several business apps for such a purpose. Many apps even let you log your personal and business miles separately. At Tropical Ford, you can find a massive selection of fleet vehicles to suit all of your small business needs.
