2022 Ford Mustang Adds New Stealth Edition Appearance Package

Ford is bringing the heat with new options coming to the Mustang lineup. That includes the first-ever Stealth Appearance Package, available for the 2022 Ford Mustang EcoBoost® Premium.

The 2022 Ford Mustang Stealth Edition Appearance Package adds several blacked-out touches to the exterior of the world-famous pony. You can pair 19-inch Ebony Black aluminum wheels, black mirror caps, and even a black pony emblem on the grille with your choice of Atlas Blue, Carbonized Gray, Dark Matter, and Shadow Black.

“The black accents really give the car a whole new persona, sinister and sporty all at once,” said Ford Mustang Brand Marketing Manager Jim Owens. “Naturally, the package needed the right name. Stealth Edition says it all.”

Ford is also upgrading the California Special for 2022, allowing drivers to add the GT Performance Package. This includes features like a TORSEN® limited-slip differential, Brembo® six-piston front brake calipers, and a retuned chassis — all adding up to smoother and more refined performance.

Ford continues to step it up with the Mustang in 2022. In addition to the Stealth Edition Appearance Package, the 2022 Ford Mustang will offer an Ice White Edition, the first-ever Mustang Coastal Edition, and a limited 2022 Mustang Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition in Brittany Blue.

Ford Working on Technology to Make Motorcyclists Safer

make motorcyclists safer | Tropical Ford blog

Thanks to our beautiful weather, we get motorcyclists all year round here in Florida. Unfortunately, all across the United States, motorcyclists die in collisions with other vehicles. In fact, motorcycle fatalities are on the rise. Ford is working on a new technology that could help make motorcyclists safer.

This technology, which is not in official production, would add a safety measure to vehicles that would help them detect lane-splitting motorcycles. Lane-splitting is when a motorcyclist drives between two lanes of stopped or slower moving traffic, it is also called white-lining. This maneuver can be dangerous and is illegal in Florida along with many other states. It is, however, legal in California, and not specifically outlawed in 12 other states.

Autoblog discovered a patent filed by Ford titled, “Detection of Lane-Splitting Motorcycles.” This technology would use a camera and sensor system to look out for motorcyclists and would warn the driver if it detects any lane-splitting riders.

This technology would be relatively easy to incorporate into the modern Ford lineup since it utilizes existing sensor technology that is already present in many models. It would also help drivers who aren’t usually on the lookout for motorcycles riding up between by warning them of their presence.
