BlueCruise is an all-new technology developed by Ford to ensure safe hands-free driving on the highway. When you’re in a BlueCruise Hands-Free Zone, which covers more than 100,000 miles of highways across North America, you’ll be able to engage the system and take your hands off the wheel.
This incredible technology isn’t even something of the near future — it’s now. The feature is being offered on the all-new 2021 Ford F-150 and the all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E. If you own one of these vehicles equipped with the Ford Co-Pilot360™ Active 2.0 Prep Package, you’ll be able to download BlueCruise software via Ford Power-Up over-the-air updates.
To help ensure that BlueCruise hands-free technology is up for the task, Ford sent 10 test vehicles out last year to cover 110,000 miles of testing across 37 states and five Canadian provinces. Putting the system to the test in all different weather, traffic, and road conditions, the test vehicles demonstrated that BlueCruise is ready to turn the self-driving car from myth into truth.
And if you’re one of the thousands upon thousands who’s preordered the incredible new 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning electric truck, worry not — it’s getting BlueCruise technology, too. You can expect this feature to roll out even more across the Ford lineup in the years ahead, meaning your favorite Ford vehicle could put the power of self-driving technology in your hands (or, more appropriately, let you take your hands off the steering wheel).
If you’re curious about BlueCruise hands-free tech, Tropical Ford can help. We’ve got the 2021 Ford F-150 and Mustang Mach-E in stock, and we can tell you everything you’ll need to know to enjoy hands-free driving in Orlando, Florida.

For over 40 years, Ford has been the leader in the pickup segment. Its most popular truck is the Ford F-150. Ford is continually working to make this truck stronger, smarter, and better in every way. This is evident in the all-new, completely redesigned 2021 Ford F-150 which delivers even more capability and performance. Here are a few updates from this upcoming model.
The 2021 Ford F-150 will debut with a new engine option – a 3.5-liter PowerBoost hybrid V6. Ford says this engine is expected to deliver more horsepower and torque than any other truck engine on the market today. It will also be the only full hybrid option available in the segment. Ford says it will offer an estimated driving range of 700 miles and will be able to tow at least 12,000 pounds.
Ford wants to make sure drivers like you have the power they need. The redesigned F-150 will be available with a Pro Power Onboard generator, which will have up to 7.2 kilowatts of energy. This should be more than enough for your power tools and any other equipment you might need.
Another way the updated F-150 can help you get your work done is with the available Tailgate Work Surface. It comes with cupholders, an integrated ruler, and a pencil holder. This is great for jotting down notes and creating your next worksite plan.
Although the 2021 Ford F-150 isn’t available yet, you can still shop for the 2020 Ford F-150 at Tropical Ford in Orlando, FL.

The beach is the ideal place to go this summer. Do something a little different and truck camp on the beach this year. If you don’t know how to go about truck camping on the beach, here are some simple steps to follow:
Bring your F-150
The Ford F-150 will fulfill all of your towing needs. With a towing capacity of up to 11,800 pounds and a best-in-class payload capability, you’ll be able to bring all your camping equipment to the beach.
Bring the right equipment
A heavy duty tow strap, a vehicle jack, plywood board, a shovel, air pressure gauge, electric air compressor, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit are all essential truck camping equipment.
Be sure to wax your truck and your trailer to protect your vehicles from salt air exposure.
Have proper tire pressure
Make sure to have slightly lower air pressure than normal since you’ll be driving on the sand. Tires should be lowered to as low as 17 psi and as high as 25 psi.
Once you’re on the sand, make sure to take your foot off the gas so as not to drive your vehicle into the sand and put your truck in four-wheel drive.
The 2016 Ford F-150 stands out for many different reasons. The truck features a high-strength, military-grade, aluminum body. It has the best-in-class towing (when equipped with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6).
According to Raul Arbelaez, VP of the IIHS, the 2016 Ford F-150 “is leading the way among large pickup manufacturers when it comes to protecting people in a range of crashes and offering technology to warn drivers of imminent frontal crashes.”
There is just as much a focus on safety as there is on toughness in the 2016 Ford F-150. After all, what good is a truck if it can’t keep you safe? The high-strength steel frame of the Ford F-150 goes a long way in protecting you. Everything from the advanced restraint system with dual-stage airbags to Curve Control is there to keep you protected and confident.
