The new Ford Puma ST marks the first Ford Performance SUV to launch in Europe. This athletic model is boldly styled and delivers exhilarating performance.
Motivated by a 1.5-liter EcoBoost—the same one found under the hood of the sporty Fiesta ST—the exciting-to-drive Puma ST serves up 197 horsepower and balances it out with impressive fuel economy. Performance is the top focus for the Ford Puma ST, which boldly wears an upgraded chassis with retuned dampers, a twist-beam, and anti-roll bars, as well as a limited-slip differential for a smoother ride.
Speaking of smooth, the new Ford Puma ST rides on Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. Capable of reaching high speeds, the Puma ST benefits from 17% larger brakes and a 25% faster steering ratio.
But while we could talk about the Puma ST’s performance all day, one of its truly standout features that we find most exciting is its range of eye-catching exterior colors, including Mean Green, Desert Island Blue, and Fantastic Red.
For now, Ford has no plans to bring the Puma across the pond to here in the States (neither as the regular or ST variant). But if you’re ever in Europe on holiday and have your choice at the rental office, we highly recommend taking a spin in the Puma ST.
You find the rest of the Ford lineup right here at Tropical Ford in Orlando, Florida.
Over the past few decades, SUVs have been taking over the family-friendly vehicle segment. Rather than turning towards minivans, many consumers are instead looking for more stylish alternatives — and because of this, Ford SUV demand is high.
With this demand continuing to grow, Tropical Ford is pleased to announce that two new vehicles will be coming to our showroom — the all-new full-size Expedition and the first-ever subcompact EcoSport.
These two new vehicles will act as bookends for the American carmaker’s leading SUV lineup. In the past six years alone, Ford has seen its SUV sales increase by 28%, and it doesn’t look like these are going to change any time soon.
“SUVs are hot, and we’ve brought two new ones to the fold that cater to two completely different sets of people,” said Michael O’Brien, Ford SUV Marking Manager. “Whether you’re downsizing but still want SUV capability, or looking for more space for your growing family, the Ford lineup has you covered.”
Ford has introduced the new Expedition to appeal to the oldest Millennials, who are considered the largest demographic of three-row SUV buyers. The Eco-Sport, on the other hand, is looking to appeal to Baby Boomers, who are beginning to look to downsize their current vehicles.
We at Tropical Ford can’t wait to get these incredible new vehicles on our lot!
