2022 Ford Maverick, Bronco Named North American Truck, Utility Vehicle of the Year

Ford has done it again … twice. After taking home top honors last year, Ford once again won the North American Truck of the Year and North American Utility Vehicle of the Year awards thanks to the 2022 Ford Maverick and Bronco, respectively.

Fifty independent jurors gave the all-new Maverick and Bronco top honors running away. The 2022 Ford Maverick outscored the two runners up combined in terms of total points while the Bronco held the largest margin of victory over a second-place vehicle.

The jurors did not mince words in expressing their love for the Maverick and Bronco. Car and Driver’s Steven Cole Smith called the Maverick “the best buy in the North American auto realm” thanks to its low price and great fuel economy. Of the 2022 Ford Bronco, The Detroit News’ Henry Payne says the off-road SUV is “a home run” that stands as an immediate challenger to the competition.

Neither the 2022 Ford Maverick or 2022 Ford Bronco are strangers to big-time awards. They’re also the regular recipients of driver admiration — customers who’ve taken delivery of both at Tropical Ford in Orlando have sung their praises loud and clear. Ford Shows Off Maverick, Bronco Customization at SEMA 2021

If there’s one thing Ford knows a thing or two about, it’s customization. Getting your Ford, your way is easy at Tropical Ford thanks to our end-to-end custom order process. Ford recently showed off how you could customize new vehicles like the Maverick and Bronco even more by bringing 40 personalized project vehicles to this year’s SEMA Show.

“We designed Ford vehicles to be easier to customize, with installation points and aftermarket accessories engineered from the start of the design process,” said Eric Cin, Ford global director, vehicle personalization, accessories, and licensing. “We work actively with the aftermarket to share our product designs so customers can personalize and put the finishing touches on their vehicle to make it all their own.”

Many of the vehicles displayed at the 2021 SEMA Show reveal that you can change the complexion of a Ford vehicle with just a few tweaks. Tucci Hot Rods turned the all-new Maverick into a low-stanced street truck reminiscent of classic hot rods. BDS Suspensions transformed a Bronco two-door into a pickup truck perfect for first responders.

But customization isn’t just for the pros. With Ford Licensed Accessories, Genuine Ford Parts, and Ford Performance Parts — available at accessories.ford.com and through Tropical Ford in Orlando, Florida — you can get a truck or SUV that perfectly fits your style. New Ford Maverick Pickup Truck Coming to Tropical Ford

If you want an efficient, versatile pickup truck for your daily commutes and weekend adventures in Orlando, Florida, but think the Ford Super Duty and F-150 are too big, you’re going to love the compact Ford Maverick that’s coming to Tropical Ford.

The brand-new Ford Maverick pickup truck is a game-changer in the brand’s truck lineup, being the first standard full-hybrid pickup ever released in America. Its small dimensions, 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder hybrid powertrain, and continuously variable transmission yield a fuel consumption rate that’s around 40 mpg in cities like Orlando.* You’ll be hard-pressed to find a pickup in Florida that achieves comparable efficiency.

The Maverick is also unique because it has a unibody construction, whereas other Ford trucks have the typical body-on-frame construction that make them more suitable to rough off-roading. What does that mean for drivers like you? The Ford Maverick is more suitable to hauling and towing small loads in urban areas like Orlando, making it a better option for crowded cities and suburbs than the F-150 or Super Duty.

While it’s not the most powerful truck in the Ford lineup, it’s definitely the most efficient and most tech-savvy. Plus, it’s versatile to suit your particular lifestyle here in central Florida, offering innovations like the FLEXBED™ system, Ford Co-Pilot360™ technologies, and the Ford Integrated Tether System

Plus, the Maverick has an incredibly low starting price that rivals the cost of many economy sedans you’ll find on the market.

If the new Ford Maverick sounds like the truck for you, contact Tropical Ford. We’ll be glad to reserve one for you when it arrives at our dealership.

*Actual mileage will vary. Final EPA-estimated ratings available later in the 2021 calendar year.
