Iconic Ford Ranger Splash Is Back

One of the most iconic appearance packages of the 1990s is back. The 2022 Ford Ranger Splash™ Package puts your personality on full display with a vibrant orange color and unique black body-side graphics that truly pop whether you’re cruising down the highway or parked on the curb.

“Ranger customers love to personalize their trucks — more than 80% customize their Ranger with an appearance package — and with Splash, we’re giving them something exclusive,” said Chad Callandar, Ford Ranger marketing manager. “Every few months, we’re going to roll out another exterior color for Ranger that will be offered one time only and in very limited quantities.”

Splash will come in two different styles: Splash Package and Splash™ Limited Edition. The former will be available for the entirety of the 2022 model year and feature body-side orange and black graphics, special 12-spoke wheels finished in matte black, exclusive seats with orange contrast stitching, and unique carbon grain with tuxedo stripes.

Meanwhile, Splash Limited Edition trucks will be revealed only every few months, and just a few hundred models will be made available. The first of these will be a Ranger Splash – Snow Edition model, which has yet to be unveiled. Make sure to call Tropical Ford in Orlando, Florida, to be one of the lucky few owners of this truck when it launches.

New Ford Expedition Timberline Is More Capable Than Ever

The 2022 Ford Expedition has launched with a new Timberline series that sets a new bar for off-road capability. It competes directly with the Jeep® Wagoneer and, as you’ll find out, wins that matchup pretty handily.

Ready For Conquest

The new Ford Expedition Timberline comes straight out of the factory with the best available ground clearance in its class.[1] With 10.6 inches of ground clearance, it beats the Wagoneer by 0.6 inches. It also has a better power-to-weight ratio than its rival, in part thanks to a high-output EcoBoost® engine producing 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque, and in part because it weighs 4% less than the Jeep SUV.

Deep departure and approach angles, combined with the same Trail Turn Assist feature already offered on the Ford Bronco™ SUV, make the Expedition Timberline a force to be reckoned with when the asphalt runs out. It also has 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler™ all-terrain tires, a two-speed transfer case, and underbody shielding.

The new Ford Expedition has more to offer than just the rugged Timberline model, though. It also has a new Stealth Edition Performance Package and debuts the Ford BlueCruise hands-free highway Driver-Assist Technology. It’s available with a 15.5-inch smartphone-like touch screen and a 22-speaker sound system by Bang & Olufsen.

Truly, the 2022 Ford Expedition means business. Learn more about its features and the Timberline model at Tropical Ford in Orlando, Florida!

2022 Ford Explorer Makes Big Changes to ST, Adds ST-Line

There are big changes in store for the 2022 Ford Explorer, arriving soon at Tropical Ford in Orlando, Florida. Namely, the sportiest model in the lineup — the Explorer ST — will now come standard with rear-wheel drive.

Performance enthusiasts have been clamoring for a Ford Explorer ST with RWD since its debut. Now, Ford is delivering.

“No two SUV drivers use their vehicles the same way, so our goal is to meet the needs of as many as possible,” said Lee Newcombe, Ford Explorer marketing manager. “Four-wheel-drive capability is great if you need it, but if you don’t, you shouldn’t have to pay for it.”

And if you want the sporty look and feel of the Explorer ST but don’t need the 400 horsepower its 3.0-liter EcoBoost® twin-turbo makes, you can now opt for the 2022 Ford Explorer ST-Line. The Explorer ST-Line keeps the aesthetic of the ST but swaps in a still-robust 300-horsepower 2.3-liter EcoBoost®.

Other major changes to the 2022 Ford Explorer lineup include the 3.0-liter EcoBoost® becoming the standard engine for the King Ranch and Platinum trims. You can also opt for a second-row bench or captain’s chairs at no added cost, and the Timberline is now available with a second-row bench.

The 2022 Ford Explorer is a great choice if you love to get down and dirty around Orlando. If you’d like to take one for a spin, contact the team at Tropical Ford.
