Ford will be adding the all-new Ford ReFresh95 cabin air filter to its lineup. Almost every Ford model will come standard with this advanced filter by the end of 2023. Take a look at how this new component can improve the air quality in your car.
Reduced allergens and particles
The Ford ReFresh95 cabin air filter can prevent as much as 99 percent of certain allergens, like dust particles and common pollens, from reaching the interior. It can also keep out some airborne concentrations of particles the size of bacteria.
Filtered out particulates
In an area with lots of rush-hour traffic — like Orlando, Florida — it can filter out the particulate matter in soot and smog. The Ford ReFresh95 can even stop air particles that are 30 times smaller than one human hair. These include a minimum of 95 percent of 2.5-micron size traffic exhaust, metals, organic material, and road dust particles.
The Ford ReFresh95 went through plenty of testing at a third-party lab, so you can trust its effectiveness. For instance, the filter excelled in pressure drop testing, showing it can last during your recommended service interval. Select models will offer the filter later this year. Car and Driver was impressed by the Mustang Mach-E’s performance. The 2021 model has an EPA-estimated range of 305 miles, so you won’t have to search for a charging station often.* Once it’s time to charge, you can do so while relaxing at home or through the FordPass™ Charging Network.
The Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition can go 0-60 mph in only 3.5 seconds, and its powertrain delivers 480 horsepower and 634 lb-ft of torque.** This model proves that EVs can be just as thrilling as their gas-powered counterparts.
A comfortable cabin
The interior of the Mustang Mach-E is also plenty spacious, noted Car and Driver. The driver’s seat sits up high, providing plenty of visibility, and you’ll have lots of legroom too since the battery is under the floor. There are even 4.7 cubic feet of storage space in the front trunk that’s ideal for muddy or wet gear.
Learn more about the features that make the Mustang Mach-EV the top EV when you call Tropical Ford in Orlando, Florida.

What makes the Lightning® Pro different from all other F-150 models produced by Ford thus far is that it’s an electric work pickup truck designed for commercial use. The Ford Lightning® Pro is the latest addition to the automaker’s lineup of capable, efficient all-electric work-ready models, alongside vehicles like the E-Transit.
If you own a business in Orlando, Florida, you should consider buying this pickup truck for your fleet. While using an eco-friendly electric vehicle as a work truck may seem unorthodox, the F-150 Lightning® Pro proves that it can do what gas-powered trucks can do — sometimes even better.
This 2022 truck coming to Tropical Ford boasts a power output of 426 horsepower — or 563 horsepower on the extended-range version. The EPA-estimated travel range on a single charge is 230 miles on the standard 4×4 F-150 Lightning® Pro or 300 miles on the extended-range version.
The F-150 Lightning® Pro runs only on electricity, leaving room under the hood for extra storage space. This truck features the first-ever Ford Mega Power Frunk, which boasts 14.1 cubic feet of lockable storage space.
There’s plenty more that the 2022 F-150 Lightning® Pro offers for your business in Orlando, but you’ll have to come to Tropical Ford to learn about them in person. Come to our dealership to discuss how Ford can provide zero-emission fleet solutions for your company.
If you want an efficient, versatile pickup truck for your daily commutes and weekend adventures in Orlando, Florida, but think the Ford Super Duty and F-150 are too big, you’re going to love the compact Ford Maverick that’s coming to Tropical Ford.
The brand-new Ford Maverick pickup truck is a game-changer in the brand’s truck lineup, being the first standard full-hybrid pickup ever released in America. Its small dimensions, 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder hybrid powertrain, and continuously variable transmission yield a fuel consumption rate that’s around 40 mpg in cities like Orlando.* You’ll be hard-pressed to find a pickup in Florida that achieves comparable efficiency.
The Maverick is also unique because it has a unibody construction, whereas other Ford trucks have the typical body-on-frame construction that make them more suitable to rough off-roading. What does that mean for drivers like you? The Ford Maverick is more suitable to hauling and towing small loads in urban areas like Orlando, making it a better option for crowded cities and suburbs than the F-150 or Super Duty.
While it’s not the most powerful truck in the Ford lineup, it’s definitely the most efficient and most tech-savvy. Plus, it’s versatile to suit your particular lifestyle here in central Florida, offering innovations like the FLEXBED™ system, Ford Co-Pilot360™ technologies, and the Ford Integrated Tether System
Plus, the Maverick has an incredibly low starting price that rivals the cost of many economy sedans you’ll find on the market.
If the new Ford Maverick sounds like the truck for you, contact Tropical Ford. We’ll be glad to reserve one for you when it arrives at our dealership.
*Actual mileage will vary. Final EPA-estimated ratings available later in the 2021 calendar year.
Your car is a sophisticated machine, but sometimes, when something is going wrong, it won’t activate the “check engine” or other dashboard warning lights. If your car sends you any of the following signs, it is time to make a car maintenance appointment at the service department at Tropical Ford.
Your vehicle produces a bevy of sounds. You know what noises are normal and what are not. If you hear strange, unfamiliar sounds such as banging, rattling, grinding, squealing or anything that does not fall into the “normal” spectrum of your car, including clicking, it’s time to head to the service bay at Tropical Ford where our technicians can discover the source of these troubling noises.
If you notice an unpleasant stench wafting from your vehicle, and you can’t blame it on the forgotten fast food sack in the back, something is wrong with your car. Your air conditioning system may be failing if you smell mildew. The catalytic converter is in serious decline if you smell rotten eggs, and your health and safety are at risk if your cabin smells like exhaust.
Your transmission needs attention if your car is lacking its regular get-up-and-go quality when you are shifting gears or if it is outright stalling.
BlueCruise is an all-new technology developed by Ford to ensure safe hands-free driving on the highway. When you’re in a BlueCruise Hands-Free Zone, which covers more than 100,000 miles of highways across North America, you’ll be able to engage the system and take your hands off the wheel.
This incredible technology isn’t even something of the near future — it’s now. The feature is being offered on the all-new 2021 Ford F-150 and the all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E. If you own one of these vehicles equipped with the Ford Co-Pilot360™ Active 2.0 Prep Package, you’ll be able to download BlueCruise software via Ford Power-Up over-the-air updates.
To help ensure that BlueCruise hands-free technology is up for the task, Ford sent 10 test vehicles out last year to cover 110,000 miles of testing across 37 states and five Canadian provinces. Putting the system to the test in all different weather, traffic, and road conditions, the test vehicles demonstrated that BlueCruise is ready to turn the self-driving car from myth into truth.
And if you’re one of the thousands upon thousands who’s preordered the incredible new 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning electric truck, worry not — it’s getting BlueCruise technology, too. You can expect this feature to roll out even more across the Ford lineup in the years ahead, meaning your favorite Ford vehicle could put the power of self-driving technology in your hands (or, more appropriately, let you take your hands off the steering wheel).
If you’re curious about BlueCruise hands-free tech, Tropical Ford can help. We’ve got the 2021 Ford F-150 and Mustang Mach-E in stock, and we can tell you everything you’ll need to know to enjoy hands-free driving in Orlando, Florida.
Overheating is rare in new vehicles, but it’s not entirely impossible with skyrocketing summer temperatures in Orlando, Florida. If you’re out for a summer drive and notice that your vehicle is overheating, don’t panic. Knowing what to do if your car overheats will help you stay in control of the situation and get the issue taken care of quickly.
Turn on the heat. If you have the AC on, turn it off immediately. Roll the windows down, turn on the heat, and set the blower high. Depending on your situation, this might be enough to return engine temperature to normal and allow you to complete your drive.
Pull over in a safe place. Should the temperature continue to rise, you’ll want to pull the car over in the safest spot possible. Sit there for 15 minutes or more, giving things time to cool off. If you’re near Tropical Ford and you want to play it safe, you can get a quick tow to our service bay to get the issue addressed quickly.
Check for signs. Once the vehicle’s had at least 15 minutes to cool off (or maybe even more depending on the temperature outside), you can look for signs of what might be causing the issue. If you see coolant underneath the vehicle or smell something like maple syrup under the hood, you might have a leak.
Add coolant and water if you have it. If you have extra coolant and water handy, you can manually refill your radiator enough to get home safely. It’s imperative that you’re careful when doing this — if the vehicle is still warm, opening the radiator cap can cause burns. You may want to avoid trying this unless you have gloves or a towel that you can use to open the radiator cap enough to release pressure.
If your car overheats and you’re not sure what to do, turn to the experts at Tropical Ford in Orlando, Florida. We can help get your vehicle to us safely so that we can fix the issue and get you back on the road quickly.
The original Bronco was beloved by its dedicated fans for its athletic performance and its open-air philosophy, so many people had high expectations when Ford announced it was resurrecting the iconic nameplate for 2021. Luckily for long-time Bronco lovers, the revived 4×4 is just as adventurous as before – and even more customizable.
You’re probably familiar with the fact that the Ford Bronco has removable doors and roof panels to promote an open-air feel. However, you might not know that truly adventurous souls can basically remove any part of the Bronco’s exterior parts (including mudguards and fenders) to swap them out for something else depending on your mood. You’ll be able to adjust the appearance and functionality of your Bronco nearly as easily as you switch between G.O.A.T. modes™.
On top of allowing you to make your vehicle as unique as you are, the modular nature of the Ford Bronco gives you an affordable way to refresh your vehicle over and over again. Per the chief Bronco designer, Paul Wraith, the Bronco’s mix-and-match design philosophy “gives [owners] the opportunity to create the perfect 4×4 for their unique needs without requiring a lot of mechanical expertise or experience.”
The adventurous 2021 Ford Bronco will be available at Tropical Ford before you know it, so keep an eye on our online inventory.

If you own a small business and regularly put miles on your vehicle for business purposes — or even if you are an employee at someone else’s business and use your vehicle for regular business trips — you should be claiming those miles on your tax returns. But you must be able to prove every mile driven to the IRS, or else you’ll face potential hefty penalties.
Should you take the deduction for business mileage on your
taxes, be ready to prove your mileage in the event of an audit. The IRS accepts
proof in two forms: a daily log kept by you, as long as it has lots of
information, or a mileage app that does the admin work for you.
If you’re creating a log of your business mileage, keep a
journal in your car and immediately log each trip after the drive. You will
need to include the date, your odometer reading at the start and end of the journey,
along with the number of miles you’ve driven, and the business reason for the
trip. It is also helpful to include the starting address and the destination
If you would rather rely on your smartphone, you can download one of several business apps for such a purpose. Many apps even let you log your personal and business miles separately. At Tropical Ford, you can find a massive selection of fleet vehicles to suit all of your small business needs.
