Though the world isn’t ending anytime soon, life nowadays can feel a bit apocalyptic. To help cope with some of that stress and let our imaginations run wild, Rob Gill, an automotive writer for The Sun, recently called the Ford Ranger Raptor, “the perfect bug-out vehicle for the end of days.”

In a true apocalypse, we can imagine the world being a rough and rocky place with destruction everywhere. You would want a vehicle that could conquer any terrain that comes in its path and the Ranger Raptor is that truck.

According to Gill, the truck’s off-road capabilities are “truly epic” thanks to its ability to tear up gravel roads at more than 100 mph and take on big jumps with ease. You also won’t have to worry about running out of fuel in the future apocalyptic world and siphoning fuel as often because it offers about 26 mpg.

When you are ready to return to civilization after living out your apocalyptic daydream, the Ranger Raptor makes it easy with breadcrumbs navigation. It drops a navigational pin every second so you can follow them on your way back home.

The only downside to the Ranger Raptor is that it is not yet available in the United States; however, according to some sources, it could arrive sometime in 2022.

Ford has never faltered in delivering on its commitment to American workers, providing good jobs to hard-working folks from sea to shining sea. To this end, the manufacturer recently kicked off Ford Ranger production at its assembly plant in Wayne, Michigan.

This newest round of Ford Ranger production marks an $850-million investment by Ford in the 3,000-strong Michigan Assembly Plant. These 3,000 workers are feeling very merry indeed this Christmas season thanks to Ford’s production move. Ford transitioned from production of the Focus at the Michigan Assembly Plant to open availability for production of the 2019 Ford Focus.

The investment doesn’t end with the Ford Ranger, however. Starting in 2020, Ford will also produce the Bronco once more at the Michigan Assembly Plant.

All of us here at Tropical Ford are looking forward to the return of the Ford Ranger. The 2019 model promises to be a game-changer.
