Ford is always striving to make the world a better place. The automaker is leading the charge towards vehicle electrification, cutting carbon emissions, and achieving sustainability. And to keep track of these strides, the brand has released the latest installment of its Integrated Sustainability and Financial Report, which now includes the inaugural Ford Human Rights Report.

In these annual reports, the brand voluntarily discloses its progress towards its environmentally conscious goals, such as achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. This year, Ford achieved a few impressive milestones. The brand has cut its water consumption by 78% since the year 2000, and recently joined forces with Redwood Materials to help drivers recycle their EV batteries.

Along with the Integrated Sustainability and Financial Report, Ford released a Human Rights Report — a first for both the brand and the U.S. automotive industry. This report details how the automaker sources its materials, as well as how the brand manufactures components and manages its labor force.

Recent triumphs include the creation of diversity, equity, and inclusion goals to increase gender and racial diversity within the company’s senior ranks, along with initiatives to improve access to nutrition and medicine in underserved communities at home and abroad.

At Tropical Ford, we also put our community first. Whether you’re buying, leasing, trading in your old vehicle, or seeking quality automotive repairs, we’re proud to provide the best customer service in Orlando, Florida.

The 2022 Ford Explorer

Driving a smart, safe vehicle doesn’t mean compromising on fun and capability. The 2022 Ford Bronco Sport and 2022 Ford Explorer are tangible proof of that fact — both of these rugged SUVs recently earned Top Safety Pick+ awards from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

The Top Safety Pick+ designation is the organization’s top rating. In order to achieve this prestigious designation, the Bronco and Explorer had to earn top marks for six crashworthiness evaluations. Plus, the models’ front crash prevention system needed to earn a grade of “advanced” or  “superior” in both vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-pedestrian tests. And to top it off, every trim level of the model is required to come with highly-rated headlights for optimal visibility.

The Bronco Sport and Explorer weren’t the only winners in the eyes of the IIHS. Five other models also earned the Top Safety Pick designation: the Escape, Edge, Mustang Mach-E, F-150 SuperCab, and F-150 SuperCrew®. So no matter what kind of vehicle you’re looking for, you can drive confidently knowing that your Ford is designed to protect what matters most.
