When it comes to fuel-efficient hybrid vehicles, it’s hard to top Ford’s lineup. With an SUV like the Ford Explorer Hybrid, the Ford Escape Hybrid, or the Ford Escape PHEV at your disposal, you’ll spend less money on gas during a busy commute. U.S. News and World Report agrees, and recently added all three Ford hybrids to their list of the 12 Most Fuel-Efficient Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid SUVs for 2021.
Topping the list was the all-new 2021 Ford Escape PHEV, which is set to hit the lot of Tropical Ford in the near future. U.S. News had this to say about the efficient SUV: “The Escape PHEV has an all-electric range of 37 miles, and it’s highly efficient whether you’re using gas or electric power.* With almost 40 miles of all-electric range on tap, many drivers won’t have to fill up the gas tank very often.”
Next on the list was the 2021 Ford Escape Hybrid, which earned an impressive USN Overall Score of 8.3/10. “Choosing the hybrid will save you about $300 per year over the base non-hybrid Escape,” says U.S. News.
Last but not least is the 2021 Ford Explorer Hybrid, which impressed U.S. News with its powerful engine and towing capability. According to the publication, opting for the hybrid version of the Explorer “will save you an average of $150 per year on fuel.”
